What is Ransomware? and how you can get Protection from Kaspersky Endpoint Security - Protection against Ransomware
Hello guys If you're from a computer Background then you may have heard about a most Drastic virus that Encrypts all you
data and then ask you to Pay some Ransom Amount to make those data back to their decrypted mode and yes if you've
heard about this virus then congratulation you Know the name of this Virus.
Actually, you can remove the virus and restore your files, and there are three methods to do this. You should try them all.
The removal of virus is the easiest part, it can be removed manually or with help of anti-viral software, but the removal won't automatically decrypt the files. And one more thing. You should remove the virus only if you already decided to load a backup, or to pay the ransom. When the virus will be removed, you will lose the possibility to regain your data with help of hackers.
The decryption is the main problem when ransomware infects your PC, and the only 100% efficient method is toload a previously saved backups. It must be at least 2-3 days old, because if backup was made when the virus was already in the system - it is completely useless.
Another option is a restore of files from their shadow copies. This procedure requires some skill and instructions, also you will need to download such tools as ShadowExplorer or Recuva. The principle of their work depends on the actions of virus. Cerber can not change the files, it creates the encrypted copies and deletes the originals, and in the moment of deletion, system makes shadow copies. This method isn't 100% effective, but it works.
If other techniques have failed - try to use the Kaspersky Ransomware Decryptor. It's an experimental tool, which is in the stege of development, but it already has more then 15K of ransomware decryption keys in its database. Who knows, maybe there is the key that you need.
All instructions about the removal and all ways of restoring are described in these two articles:
